Nate St. Amand earns Down East Limousine male athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season the High School Sports Examiner and Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 170 past athlete of the week winners.

Last week was our last week for the Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week, until the winter season starts in full on December 4th. This week, we had four Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Willie Moss rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns, while Greg Vigue threw for 134 yards in a 45-0 victory for the MCI Huskies victory over Mattanawcook in the class D north regional final. Jake Jarvis earned athlete of the week honors last week. This week, Jarvis had another big game. He threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns in an Old Town loss to Winslow in the class C north regional final. Nate St. Amand rushed for an amazing 331 yards and three touchdowns in leading Winslow to their fourth straight regional title.

Down East Limousine male athlete of the week

Nate St. Amand– Winslow- football- rushed for 331 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in 40-27 win over Old Town in class C north championship game. St. Adamand joins Dylan Hapworth as athlete of the week winners from Winslow high school.

Runner up

Jake Jarvis- Old Town- football- threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns on 20-39 passing, while rushing for one in 40-27 loss to Winslow in class C north championship game.

Other nominations

Willie Moss- MCI- football- rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries in 45-0 win over Mattanawcook in dlass D north championship game.

Greg Vigue- MCI- football- threw for 134 yards and one touchdown on 7-11 passing in 45-0 class D north championship victory over Mattanawcook.
